Triptych Poster

This triptych poster series for USA Youth Sports promotes youth athletics while emphasizing resilience, confidence, and character beyond the game. The three-panel format creates a cohesive visual narrative that speaks to both young athletes and their parents, highlighting strength on and off the field.
Sketches
During the initial sketch phase, I explored close up athlete portraits to convey grit, as well as simplified sports imagery for a more symbolic approach. Working in black and white helped me focus on composition and hierarchy, shaping the overall tone and direction of the final design.
Typography
Arial Black creates a bold, high-impact header that reflects the energy of youth sports, while Avenir Black adds a clean, approachable contrast for the tagline and call to action. Together, the pairing balances strength and warmth, supporting a message of energy, resilience, and connection.
Digital Drafts
In the first draft, the images felt too soft and lacked intensity. I also tested colored headlines, but they distracted from the visuals, so I switched to a single color.

Early color explorations distracted from the message, so a black-and-white palette was used to emphasize contrast, texture, and emotion while creating a cohesive, intentional triptych.

In the second draft, I enhanced the images for more contrast and detail and fixed inconsistent zoom levels. I also removed multi color entirely to strengthen the design.
